About Heidi Peach
Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and for more than twenty years I’ve been lucky enough to make it my career. Over that time I’ve performed in all sorts of places — from major festivals and national theatre tours to cosy living rooms and outdoor ceremonies under open skies. No two audiences are ever the same, and that’s part of what I love most about performing. I like to keep things natural and intuitive, reading the room and shaping the music to fit the moment — whether that’s creating a relaxed, atmospheric backdrop or bringing the energy up when it’s time to celebrate.
Alongside performing live, I also write and record my own music. My self-released songs have been played on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2. My repertoire is inspired by the sounds I’ve always loved — Americana, soul and country — and it’s rooted in honest storytelling and melodies that people can connect with.
I’m also a bit of a musical magpie and love exploring different sounds and instruments. Violin is where I started, but these days my sets are performed with an acoustic guitar, although I often include ukulele, banjo, flute and touches of traditional Irish music too. Blending these together lets me bring colour and character to the music I share.
Winning Open Mic UK in 2014 was a big turning point and led to a nationwide tour, giving me the chance to meet audiences all over the country. Whether I’m playing on a big stage or in a more intimate setting, my aim is always the same: to create a warm, uplifting atmosphere where people feel welcome, relaxed, and part of the moment.
